schools, schools and ecoles……

We’ve had them all this week, local school camelford and bodmin, private schools Sherbourne and french and german schools! Half term hasn’t really kicked off yet, thinking next week will be the big push………..weather has started to get fresh and we’ve started to teach in our 5″3’s! oh we had some journos from Red magazine as well……..fun fun fun.

surf classic this weekend….

Couple of feet today, just a little cold! We have teh Jesus classic long board comp this weekend, I got to the last 16 lasy year! We normally get some of the best loggers in the UK so it can get quite intense!

half term/ end of seaso party

We have a half term end of season hallowen party coming up. we are doing it the last weekend of half term and the offical end of the season…… lots of games, fancy dress surf competition and winter BBQ so if your keen call the office 01028880617……..

George hits winning ways

George, our team riders wins again showing the south coast riders how the North Coast boys hit the lip.

George just shows how a bit of belief and hard work can really get you up and rideing, even if you are from Oxford!

Don’t worry though guys, at half term when we have our end of season BBQ and surf comp, i’ll be judging so i’ll make sure george is scored harshly and his sister beats him. (points deducted for weeing behind the trailer!)

BIG UP GEORGE THE MAN…..

damn……….we got the tide wrong again!

one of the most important things about owning a surf school on the beach is that you remove the trailers when there are really high tides, otherwise they float! i spent from 7pm till 12pm digging the hire trailer out and if i didn’t have my mates Tom landy with a winch i would have been longer! Damn!

mini Moritz…

We have great tie ups with the top hotels check out www.minimoritz.co.uk. If you stay at the

St Moritz Hotel
Trebetherick, Wadebridge, Cornwall, PL27 6SD. (01208) 862242

If you come here in the school holidays we kids not only get to stay in one of the hotel’s amazing king or twin rooms, but we also get to be members of the Beach Club absolutely free!

Then here’s the best bit! If you’re over 5* then every day you can get away from all the boring big people and head down to the awesome Wavehunter Surf Academy where they dream up a whole host of fun-tastic things for us to do on Polzeath Beach. They’ve got lots of brilliant beach games plus they’ll get you out on the waves and surfing which, believe us, is awesome! Then they’ll take the whole team on a very cool rock pool adventure all round the beach before they zoom you back to the St Moritz Hotel.

*By the way, if you’re under 5 you can still do it, but you have to take an adult with you. Sorry about that – but it’s still great fun, even with a parent!!

Wavehunters and beyond..

Few big things happening, just got back from Corsica after a few days with GONG and the owner Patrice Guénolé, who is a bit of a legend in his own lunch time, ex pro long boarder and Windsurfer, now at the fore front of SUP design and inovation, i rode a 5’11 SUP and for any one who know aboust surfing that is pretty radical.

Matt, ella’s god father and part of the Wavehunters SUP team setting up for the barrel at very secret spot in North Corsica, i fell off the next one in font of a very unhappy local crowd, who really didn’t want us there! Patrice showed us a great time and we checked out his 2011 range, he is coming over to the UK soon and we will have him over for a few Gong show case days.

check out the GONG sup site http://www.gongsup.com. oh and if you ever go to Corsica be prepared to part with many dollars!

South Africa

Went to south africa for abit of chill time after the summer but also to meet Coreban http://www.coreban.com – awsome Stand up paddle boarding company that we will potentially be working with as there agent in the UK.

These guys have some amazing designs and  are a really family set up bussiness, good job i took laura and ella with me, looking forward to seeing the 2011 product list…………….

A few designs with Ivan the company owner and world renown SUP and windsurfer…….

A few boards

Before i went in the water i found this sign quite interesting to read at Llandudno beach cape town

SUP………

SUP TIME! the river run……with the tough crowd…

took a trip down the river the otherday with the mums club, they loved it and they are getting pretty good, lead by there leader Karensa we launched from Wadebridge and paddled to Daymer, it was with the tide but against the rain so it made for some interesting paddleing, all in all it was really good fun though……….

Few tips before we go for it………7 miles ahead to paddle, forgot to tell them how far before we left!
