we took some of our groms on a surf trip up to Bude and surfed crocklets, then we headed back sout and surfed Tregardock and came back to Polzeath for a BBQ.

We had a great day even though we had to hunt waves down, but i guess it’s all in the name of the company.

The team on the trip was Marcus, Kendel, George, Jago and Tom boy, James toms dad came along as well and caught some great waves.

When you’ve got to go you’ve got to go! but what a view when you are…..

A little bit of exploring is oftern the way when you are looking for waves.

We still had to plenty of time on the road as well…

The Rock Oyster Fesitval

We had a great weekend in Cornwall, the beach was busy at Polzeath and the Port Isaac shop was ticking over nicely. This weekend was special, as it was the first Rock Oyster festival. A new venture by our friend Charlie who knows a thing or two about throwing a party. The festival was held on the Marshalls farm right on the Estuary at Porthilly, it is truly a magical location.  The festival was deisgned to celebrate local produce and of course a local clothing company!

Check out the location….

Now, at these festivals full of lovely fresh local food and local beers, a clothes stand could always become a little boring ….so we decide to hire a surf simulator, it proved a big success with the kids and a few merry adults. There were age group prizes for the longest ride, the competition was tough with Wavehunters t-shirts up for grabs…

Georgia Bolton winner of the longest girls ride…..

The stall and surf machine in full swing…..I found a new venture, Wavehunters decided to sponser it!

Some of the local surf dudes came to say Hi and try out their skills on the surf simulator. Fun was had by all and we really hope there is a Rock Oyster Festival 2011, we’ll definitely be there!!

No Hopers, Jokers & Rogues

Authenticity is a word often used in the world of marketing – The Fisherman’s Friends from Port Isaac are the real deal.

They are Julian, John and Jeremy Brown, Trevor Grills, John Lethbridge, Billy Hawkins, Nigel Sherratt, Peter Rowe, John McDonnell and Jon Cleave.

They have just released an album and signed a contract with Ealing Studios to make a film of their story.
